Introdution to Rally 2025:
The 41me Carovana Romantica Rally will be a journey into the heart of Italy, from the Tyrrhenian Coast to the Adriatic Coast, through the territories of the Etruscans, like Maremma, the "wild side" of Tuscany, home of the great "supertuscans" wines and spectacular wineries, and the Tuscia Viterbese, “Land of the Popes”, with unespected noble villas, and villages nestled in the tuff, up to the villages of southern Umbria such as Spoleto, a treasure chest of artistic treasures, to arrive to the gentle hills of Le Marche region, rich in castles, historic villages and artistic testimonies.

Maremma: the wild Tuscany, homeland of Etruscans and "Supertuscans"
Maremma is the most authentic and genuine part of Tuscany. With its vastness and morphological diversity, it offers beautiful beaches, breathtaking hills up to the Monte Amiata Volcano, it is the home of many fine wines, and is still linked to peasant traditions, such as that of the Butteri, the Italian Cowboys. The traces of the ancient Etruscans, in the Tuscia area, reach up to Lazio, in Viterbo, the ancient city of the Popes.
Umbria: from Spoleto to Sibillini Mountains
Through the valley of the Nera river to reach Spoleto "the city of two worlds", and then climb the peaks of the Sibillini Mountains, to reach Norcia, with its glorious past full of art, history and spirituality, the birthplace of San Benedetto, and Le Marche region, with it’s great variety of landscapes and an infinite range of colours that make the area's natural beauty incomparable, plus an artistic heritage that fears no comparison
Tuscia: The "Land of Popes"
Territory of Tuscia, of ancient Etruscan origin, admiring astonishing examples of the signs of the temporal power of greedy popes and wine-loving prelates, such as the Gothic Palazzo dei Papi in Viterbo which in 1200 hosted the election of Pope Gregory X. From Acquapendente to Caprarola dominated by the imposing Palazzo Farnese with its frescoed interiors, the magnificent helicoidal staircase and the Sala del Mappamondo with its maps depicting the then known world.
Le Marche: Land of 100 theatres
Staying in a resort surrounded by nature, we will reach Macerata, Camerino, the gentle hills of Jesi, home of the "Verdicchio" wine, the splendid Furlo Gorge, and some villages rich in history and cultural heritage.
