Carovana Romantica
43rd Rally: "Along the Big River PO"
September 16th- 22nd 2027
Introdution to Rally 2027:
The 43rd Carovana Romantica Rally 2027 theme is: ”Along the Big River PO"”, an itinerary following the course of the Po River - the great artery that shaped the history, wealth, and identity of the Italian peninsula.
From the vineyard-covered hills of Piedmont to the timeless beauty of Venice, Carovana Romantica 2027 Rally will be an exclusive vintage motoring experience through the cultural heart of Northern Italy. An eight-day journey that combines spectacular driving roads, world-class hospitality, celebrated wines, and some of Italy's most remarkable historic destinations.

Event Characteristic
LEG 1 Piedmont: The Langhe Landscapes (UNESCO)
The adventure begins in the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape renowned for Barolo wine, medieval castles, and the legacy of Count Cavour, one of the architects of Italian unification. From there, participants travel through the ancient trade routes of Monferrato and the Oltrepò Pavese, discovering hidden villages, abbeys, and centuries-old traditions.
The route continues to Cremona, home of Stradivari and the art of violin making, before reaching Mantua, the magnificent Renaissance capital of the Gonzaga family and the birthplace of racing legend Tazio Nuvolari. Here, the worlds of art, culture, and motoring heritage come together in a uniquely Italian setting.
LEG 2 : Lake Garda
At Lake Garda, participants experience one of Europe's most enchanting landscapes, where Roman ruins, medieval fortresses, and elegant lakeside towns have attracted travellers for centuries. The journey then crosses Verona and the vineyards of Valpolicella, renowned for their noble wines and historic estates, before reaching Padua and the elegant Venetian villas of the Euganean Hills.
LEG 3 : Euganean Hills and Padua: the gateway to Venice
The grand finale unfolds in Venice, the city that once controlled the commerce of the entire Po Valley and remains one of the world's most extraordinary cultural treasures.
More than a vintage car rally, Carovana Romantica is a celebration of Italy's finest achievements: exceptional landscapes, great wines, Renaissance art, automotive passion, and the enduring legacy of the civilizations that flourished along the country's most important river.
Making this itinerary special will also be the musical entertainment, with musical performances and folk groups that will bring to life the most authentic soul of the area. A unique experience, where every bend reveals a new panorama and every stop becomes an encounter with history, culture, and a passion for vintage cars.
